If I had to name one trait that defines an Everyday Excellence Leader it would be love. An Everyday Excellence Leader loves what they do, loves their employees and loves their customers.
Everyday Excellence Leaders have found purpose and meaning in their work and are able to translate this to their team, connecting each person to a meaningful role in meeting the company’s mission. They are genuinely and personally interested in developing employees and in their employee’s success, making sure that each team member feels appreciated, respected and heard. And because they love their customers, they are constantly looking for ways to deliver customer delight.
When leaders love their job, employees and customers, their actions are not a result of “scripted behavior” and they are not just “going through the motions.” Their actions are the result of genuine care and concern that facilitates a strong and lasting emotional bond with employees and customers.
